TCS Tours are an opportunity for you to visit our school and to learn more about our school.
You will meet with our Head of School, Admissions Team, and our teachers.

HOW TO APPLY
The Cathedral School Preschool and Kindergarten accepts applications on a rolling basis. We seek families who are excited to become part of our community and share our commitment to excellence in education. We look forward to getting to know your family!
Preschool & Kindergarten
Step 1: Visit Us
Open Houses begin in late September, and we encourage prospective families to visit us and learn more about our school.
Step 2: Apply
Complete our Application Form below and submit the $75 processing fee as early as possible in the fall.
Preschool Requirements: Students entering our Pre-K3 program must be at least 2 years and 9 months old by September 1 of the academic year they are entering. All preschool students must be fully potty trained.
Kindergarten Requirement: A teacher recommendation must be submitted to our Admissions Director either through postal mail with attention to the Admissions Office, or via email at: nscott@cathedralschoolny.org
Step 3: TCS Playdates
Once we receive your application, our Admissions Director will contact you to schedule a playdate and parent visit. TCS Playdates begin in October and give children an opportunity to spend time with a faculty member and explore our classroom.
Step 4: Admissions Decisions
Admissions decisions are made on a rolling basis after the required visits are completed. Admissions decisions will be communicated via email as well as postal mail. Families will be asked to respond within two weeks of receiving an offer.
Optional Step 5: Financial Aid
Families interested in financial aid must submit an application through the FACTS Management System.
Financial aid applications for Kindergarten through Eighth Grade open October 1st and must be completed by February 1st.
Applications received after the stated deadlines will be considered on a rolling basis, provided space remains available in the grade.

Test Results for the Educational Records Bureau Exam (ERB), AABL (for 1st Grade), ISEE (for 2nd through 8th grade) OR comparable test results from the applicant's current school

Step 3: TCS Student Visit
Once an application is received, our Admissions Director will contact you to set up a student and parent visit. Student visits begin in October and consist of time spent in our classrooms.
Step 4: Admissions Decisions
