FOR THE FAMILIES

Our school is made stronger by the parents and families who bring their energy, warmth, and spirit to school life each day. From showing up for school events and traditions to supporting one another along the way, our families are an important part of what makes this place feel like home. This page is your home base for staying informed, finding helpful resources, keeping in touch, and sharing in the many moments that make our school special.

TCS Delay &
Closing Policy

On behalf of TCS Parents Association (PA), it is our absolute pleasure to welcome you to our vibrant and close-knit school community! The PA plays a vital role in enriching the student and parent experience at The Cathedral School. We work hand-in-hand with the administration and faculty to support academic and social programs, celebrate traditions, and cultivate the warm, inclusive spirit that makes TCS so special.

What Does the Parents Association Do?

The PA coordinates a variety of community-building events and student-centered initiatives, such as:

● Pizza Fridays – A student favorite, delivered weekly for lunch

● Holiday Celebrations – From Halloween and Christmas to Valentine’s Day & Teacher Appreciation

● School Fundraisers – Annual Raffle, Marathon Sunday, and Greek Bread Sales (Vasilopita/Tsoureki)

● Field Day & Tie-Dye Shirt Making

● Enrichment Programs – READ (Reading Education Assistance Dogs), Dental Hygiene Education

● Field Trips – Math Museum, NY Botanical Garden, and more

● Mother’s & Father’s Day Celebrations

We also help support classroom activities and create lasting memories for students and teachers alike.

PARENTS
ASSOCIATION

Why Get Involved? Parental engagement is at the heart of our school’s success. Research shows that when parents are involved, students perform better academically, socially, and emotionally. But more than that, your involvement strengthens our entire community—creating friendships, memories, and a spirit of generosity and support that defines TCS. Whether you’re able to volunteer your time, contribute ideas, or simply show up to support. We welcome you to get involved in any way that works for you.
